In this session, the faculty will review the pathophysiology of Restless Legs System (RLS) including briefly reviewing the common secondary causes. In addition, the typical and atypical clinical presentations including common triggers will be discussed. Lastly, the new treatment guidelines and the use of devices and other non-pharmacological treatments will be reviewed.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be better able to:
- Identify the complex pathophysiology of primary and secondary RLS including contributions of genetics role of neurochemicals, iron, and systemic illnesses
- Recognize the typical and atypical clinical presentations of RLS
- Appreciate the new treatment guidelines for RLS and the role of devices and complimentary therapies
