Travel Grant Awards

Applications for the 2022 Travel Grant Awards have closed.

MDS is offering up to 250 Travel Grant Awards in the amount of $1,000 USD each in partial support of delegates in financial need to facilitate their travel to and participation in the 2022 International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders® in Madrid, Spain. Travel Grant recipients will also receive complimentary International Congress registration.

MDS is also offering up to 250 registration-only grants. Registration Grant recipients will be selected from the Travel Grant Award applicants.

To qualify, candidates must be the first author on at least one submitted abstract, and complete the official Travel Grant application incorporated into the abstract submission process. The sole means of application is within the abstract submission system. Please do not apply for a Travel Grant unless you are prepared to travel to the 2022 International Congress to present your abstract.

Please note: You will not be able to apply for a 2022 Travel Grant after your abstract submission is confirmed.

Only one (1) Travel Grant application per candidate will be considered for the 2022 International Congress. If an individual submits multiple Travel Grant applications, only the abstract receiving the highest cumulative score will be reviewed by the Awards Committee.

Qualified applicants are not required to be a current MDS Member; however current Members do receive additional points on their cumulative application score. Apply for or renew your MDS Membership
