Clinical Characterization Brain Metal Deposition in Patients with Movement Disorders

In this session, the faculty will discuss video examples of the more frequent cerebral metal deposition disorders including iron, copper and manganese that will help the audience to better evaluate a patient with a movement disorder associated to these disorders.

At the conclusion of this session, participants should be better able to:

  1. Recognize the main phenotypes and phenomenology related to the different brain metal deposition disorders
  2. Formulate an algorithm for investigating suspected brain metal deposition disorders including clinical evaluation, neuroimaging and genetic testing
