Travel Grant Application Submissions Closed
The deadline to submit an application for a travel grant was Thursday, March 15, 2018.
The International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS) is offering 250 Travel Grant Awards in partial support of delegates in financial need to travel to and participate in the International Congress. Each Travel Grant Award includes a maximum amount of $1,000 USD and free International Congress delegate registration.
Candidates must complete the official Travel Grant application and submit at least one (1) abstract on which they are the first author. Applicants must have an accepted abstract to qualify.
MDS is pleased to offer an additional 250 free International Congress delegate registrations for Travel Grant applicants who are not selected for the full financial award. Candidates will be selected from the list of Travel Grant applications. Successful Travel Grant Awardees and recipients of the free International Congress delegate registrations will be notified in June 2018.
Please Note: Travel Grant funds will not be distributed until after the conclusion of the International Congress.
The Travel Grant Award is intended to aid in delegate participation of the International Congress; therefore Travel Grant funds will only be processed after the International Congress to ensure that attendance at the International Congress can be verified for all Travel Grant Awardees.
- Travel Grant claims filed prior October 1, 2018 will be processed within 30 days after the International Congress.
- Travel Grant claims filed after October 1, 2018 will be processed by the MDS International Secretariat within 30 days of receiving the completed claim forms.
- Travel Grant claims must be filed within the same calendar year as the International Congress; claims for the 2018 International Congress that are filed after December 31, 2018 will not be processed.
Please contact the MDS International Secretariat at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
